We have successfully campaigned to save King George A&E. Redbridge Labour helped lead a campaign to save King George Hospital A&E from closure, working closely with our local MPs, Unions and community groups to advocate for patients and staff.
We are tackling period poverty. Targeting girls from low income families to receive help in schools.
We have attained UNICEF accreditation as a “baby-friendly” borough and have achieved a 100% Good or Outstanding rating on early years provision.
Under my leadership Redbridge Council has been named the best local authority in England for providing ‘joined up care’ in October 2018.
Redbridge has been ranked the best Council in the country for Adult Social Care by iMPower, despite being one of the lowest funded boroughs.
I have led a team investing in 32 new public access defibrillators and we are actively pushing the scheme to spread London-wide.
